Sam Ticknor
Corporate Fuel is pleased to announce that Samuel H. Ticknor has joined the firm. Sam's primary responsibility will be to represent the firm in the upstate New York market (Buffalo to Albany) as well as in Corporate Fuel's core New York metropolitan area markets. "Sam brings proven investment banking experience and a strong network of contacts in the upstate New York market" according to John Simons, Managing Partner at Corporate Fuel. "Given the size and tremendous diversity of the middle market business community in the upstate New York market, we are eager to begin working aggressively with companies throughout the region to meet their investment banking requirements including strategic advisory, M&A, capital raising, and selective direct investments through Corporate Fuel's private equity fund". "I am pleased to have the opportunity to provide to companies in upstate New York all the resources of Corporate Fuel including a top performing team of partners and other senior professionals with backgrounds including investment banking, private investing, commercial banking, finance and operations", said Sam. "Given Corporate Fuel's track record of success in working with middle market companies, the firm is particularly well positioned to support the growth of the upstate New York market." Sam has a diverse business background including investment banking and international government consulting work. He was previously with Bergen Capital, a division of Scott & Stringfellow, a BB&T Corporate affiliate, where he worked in the private placement area. He also spent over a decade working in international emerging markets with the Provident Group, an international investment bank based in New York City, and before that, with International Executive Service Corps, a contractor to the United States Agency for International Development. Sam began his career with M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY. Sam has an MBA from the William E.
